First the turtles - took the kids (and Mum and Jan) to see the turtle hatchlings at Mon Repos. thought it was going to be a washout, but the showers cleared just before we got to go down to a hatching nest. The kids were so tired by the time the little guys got moving, but they were thrilled to have the chance to touch one of the babies. Caitlin even got to be part of the torch tunnel to encourage the little things down to the water.
Easter morning was a bit of a wash out though - I carefully planned an easter egg hunt for the kids only to have Joshua end up in the hospital with croup after we got home from the turtles. He wasn't too good that night, but after some adrenaline he picked up. However, by the time they got home, Caitlin had found all of the easter eggs that I had hidden and once she laid eyes on the stash that JB scored from the paeds ward, she was none too keen to share. Not sure what Asha thought of her present, but she looked pretty cute.
