On the 17th of April (the first Sunday of the school holidays) Joshua had his first gym comp for the year. This time he was competing as a level 2. The comp was at Lawnton, which was nice as it was just down the road from us. Joshua's session was first up in the morning, and there were a LOT of level 2's there. Joshua was a little tense, but by the time he had done a few apparatus, I think he was in the zone. Terry and I really enjoyed watching him, and cheering him on, and even Asha and Caitlin seemed to enjoy being there. We were quite impressed with how JB had done, considering he'd only been working level 2 for 3 mnths and he was also one of the younger kids there at still only 6. Apparently the judges were too, because he scored quite highly with 2 firsts on rings and on pommel! He was 0.1 off of 5th over all (there were 25 kids in the under 8s) and 1.75 off 1st over all. Everyone was excited for him, and he looked like he was a little shocked! :) We celebrated by taking all 3 kids out for lunch :)
Happily married mother of three (DD and DS and DD), part-time cytotech, part-time scrapper, full time crazy woman. My life isn't very interesting as far as these things go, but hey it keeps me off the streets. Between balancing DH's and my various nervous breakdowns and being the parents of 3 bright energetic kids, it's full and rich, just like life should be
