As i had to work between Christmas and new year, we went up to Bundaberg on the 3rd of January. And just for the sake of something different, we decided to treat ourselves and stay at the beach in a motel. Beautiful place we stayed, right on the esplanade, overlooking a park as well. When we got there, the weather was...

Beautiful. Perfect even. The apartment was gorgeous and we were all happy.

WE relaxed, got fish and chips at the local shops for dinner, kids had one last play at the park then we bathed them, put them to bed and relaxed.
We woke up to...

... and that was mostly the way it stayed for the next 2 days. We did get to see Mum and Nana and Jan, we did a bit of shopping, we read books and played games and watched TV. But mostly we lamented that we couldn't go out, and even though the beach was *right there*, we couldn't swim because it was too cold!
One morning we ducked out between showery periods and did get a walk/explore on the beach in. Terry had fun playing with the camera, we checked out shells and sand and water and waves. Found some crab claws and some butterfly shells. It was nice. But really not the most successful holiday ever :)
