A lovely day for a fete - NOT!

Well the day of the Bald hills SS fete dawned dull and raining. I was so unhappy. After all the hard work that everyone put in on this major fund raising venture, it was raining :( But with Joshua and Caitlin both to perform, we got organised and got over there. Just in time to get wet :/ Joshua sang a very cute song with the preps and then we went and checked out some of the stalls. Bought some bikkies for the kids to have for morning tea, and Terry bought some rosella jam which he loves.

We found a book stall and bought a couple of book for the kids and checked out the plants. Then it was time for Caitlin to sing with the junior choir, which she enjoyed :) After that, we found our way down to the junior oval where the action was. (In between showers, of course) There were about 6 different types of rides and the kids had a ride pass to go on as many as they wanted. However, the wet weather made this much less fun than it should have been. I don't think we even got value for money out of the ride passes before the heavens opened and stayed open for the rest of the day. Needless to say, we left.

Had to go home for dry clothes (JB in particular was saturated), and a warm lunch.

In the end, I think they cleared just over 13K. Hopefully enough to pay for water fountains on the ovals.
